Ecotonie
The Terragora project offers its guests a stay modelled on animal habitats, in relation to three distinct elements on a single territory: water, earth and trees.
Each element is an ecosystem in itself, contributing to the great symbiosis of nature.
Human incursion into an area hitherto considered natural and untouched must be respectful and discreet, like a constituent element of this ecosystem.
As nature’s guest, the visitor – an attentive spectator in search of rest and discovery – makes himself very small.
The relationship between different ecosystems lies in the ecotone, that is, in the transition between two ecosystems.
We therefore chose to place the guest in this ecotone: sometimes at the water’s edge, straddling land and the aquatic environment, sometimes between the subsoil and the ground surface, and sometimes between sky and earth.
