Globalgaelisation
Globalgaelisation is a reflection on the fragile balance of a social organisation based on the exploitation of a single resource.
Algae could be an extraordinary source of energy, ready to meet multiple needs: food, the production of gas and electricity, the manufacture of thermoplastic products and textiles.
The multifunctionality of this resource allows us to easily transfer all the mechanisms of our current society, entirely based on oil, to an entirely “algal” future.
Could the intelligence of these organisms, which lie at the origin of photosynthesis and of the ozone layer, alone sustain such vast complexity and mass of consumption?
And what if precisely what is currently the greatest advantage of algae – their capacity to create energy and oxygen from CO2 – were to create a new imbalance in the ecosystem.
